"The Cult of Smiles" is a clay project consisting of 8 figures. These pieces (followers) are similar in style but uniquely different from one another. These rugged clay followers represent the undying willingness of trying to please yourself in this modern world. The constant grab for likes or follows to the point of extreme ends just to feel some sense of accomplishment or happiness. This desire can lead to almost cult-like behavior. This project is not condoning cultist behavior but instead paints a picture of the effects of a pleasure-driven society.
